I used a screen capture of Barry’s Search Engine Roundtable home page for round 6 of our Guess the Internet Marketing Site game. Barry and the rest of the folks at SE Roundtable scour the forums and report on the most interesting SEO threads going. I like to think of the Roundtable’s reporting as the SEO word on the streets filtered down to the best stuff. I admire Barry’s dedication to reporting all the search engine news he does and am happy he took a moment to answer a few quick questions about the Roundtable. Here is what he had to say:
Q: With all the news you keep up on and write about for Search Engine Roundtable and Search Engine Land, are you able to still put in all the time you would like to with Rusty Brick?
A: I wake up earlier so I have more hours in the day. This way I can do both. But I have a great team at RustyBrick, so that also helps.
Q: What is your favorite part of covering all the forums and the in-depth conference coverage you do?
A: I love finding hidden nuggets that only the masses can find before a feature release is embargoed.
Q: I’m a fan of your Webmaster Radio show The Pulse. A while back I believe you were asking people if you should continue the show. Are you going to keep it going? How do you like doing it?
A: I believe we will keep the show. The question now is do we do a daily version as opposed to a weekly version. Honestly, it is very hard to block out a straight hour in a day to do a show. 30 minutes isn’t too bad. But I constantly find myself replying to emails for RustyBrick matters, getting click ins on the phone and IMs and more during the one hour weekly block. A daily show, let’s say 20 minutes long, might be more efficient for me.
Thanks for participating Barry, keep up the great work!
